I finished up reading The Hunger Games Trilogy last night and I think every single person on earth should read it.

Not because “it’s the new twilight!” like I’ve heard a lot of assholes saying, nor because they made a movie and tomorrow it will be the worldwide premiere with tons of teenager girls screaming their lungs out the name of Peeta, but because it makes us think about how our lives are controlled and manipulated by the government, by the entertainment industry, by the press, by the system… How we are ‘just a piece in their Games’.

At the end of the third book, I cried like a little girl. It was a mix of feelings inside of me. Sad because it ended, sad because of the characters, sad because it really is a beautiful story of hope, but mostly sad because I don’t know where I belong and I don’t want to be part of this sick and disgusting life we are all meant to have, watching the disgrace of others on the television, watching hypocrites, politicians, skinny starving models, the nature going down, and all kinds of bullshit like it is all right, ok.

I really don’t want to live in this world anymore.
